Little Field Trips
Small adventures around Auckland and beyond
Sunday, June 20, 2010
Starting at the bottom of Cape Horn Road, we walked down a steep gravel path with what seemed like hundreds of steps, thinking the beach would be just around the next bend.
258 steps (Rocky counted these on the way back up), the remains of a stone building and many paths later we reached Waikowhai Bay.
Tide out at the bay, a weedy foreshore and the south facing situation of the place left it in lovely late afternoon gloom.
